Dick Harley (1893)
 

Following Tommy Dowd's trade to the St. Louis Browns in 1893, the team selected junior Dick Harley to serve as player coach for the 1893 season.

Following Georgetown, Harley played two seasons as an outfielder in the Philadelphia Phillies minor league system and completed his degree requirewments in 1896. According to Wikipedia, Harley was traded by the Philadelphia Phillies on May 29, 1897 to the St. Louis Browns in exchange for Tommy Dowd, his old coach at Georgetown. Harley played seven seasons among five teams, ending his career with the 1903 Chicago Cubs,

Following the pros, Harley became a college baseball coach, serving as the manager for teams at Penn State, Pitt, and Villanova, as well as one season at Georgetown in 1913, with a 10-10 record.
