Team Captains (1887-1890)

For the first four years of varsity play, team captains served as coaches. Collegians Dick Hennessy (1887), Dan O'Day (1888), Bill Gleason (1889), and Pat O'Donnell (1890) were named as player-coaches for their respective seasons.

Little is known about these four players outside of their participation on the team. O'Day, who received his degree in 1889, was retired in Rye, NY at the time of the first alumni directory in 1941, but no further citation was provided. O'Donnell, who received three degrees over six years at Georgetown, was deceased at the time of the directory's printing.
