Georgetown Football: Assistant Coaches

The first reference to an assistant coach at Georgetown was in 1892. An assistant is listed for all seasons below after 1901.

Assistants at Georgetown generally follow three eras:

  • From 1910-23, there was one assistant per year, not specific to position.
  • From 1924-50, teams employed 2-4 assistants per year, specializing on the offensive/defensive lines and the offensive backfield, but not specific to position.
  • From 1964-present, positional coaches were used, with the title of offensive and defensive coordinator appearing in the early 1970's.

A list of coaching duties by season is in progress. Please contact us if there are any changes or updates to this list.
